PhpPgAdmin is one of the most popular instruments for controlling PostgreSQL databases. It is intuitive, yet powerful and you're able to do any action you want to - export, import or modify any cell, row or table within a database; grant, revoke or modify the permissions for a particular user; execute SQL queries and many more. When you want to have a backup of a PostgreSQL-driven website, for instance, or transfer it to some other website hosting supplier, you can export your whole database in a format of your liking - SQL, CSV, XML, XHTML and so on. When you use phpPgAdmin, you will have complete control of your databases and all things linked to them. The tool was initially intended to be the PostgreSQL equivalent of phpMyAdmin, but today they have very little in common when it comes to the user interface.

phpPgAdmin in Shared Hosting

We supply phpPgAdmin with all our Linux shared hosting and you can access it from the PostgreSQL section of your Hepsia Control Panel provided that you have installed at least one database. You'll see your databases listed in alphabetical order in this area and on their right-hand side there is a small phpPgAdmin button. Once you click on the button for a particular database, you will be logged in automatically in a new tab of the browser. If you'd rather log in manually, you are able to go to our direct phpPgAdmin login page and submit the database username and password. This method can be used in case someone else, for example a graphic designer, needs to access a database part of your account. In this way, your files and email messages will remain safe as nobody will be able to access them.

phpPgAdmin in Semi-dedicated Hosting

We provide phpPgAdmin with all of our Linux semi-dedicated hosting and you can use it to take care of any PostgreSQL database which you set up from your Hepsia website hosting Control Panel. The moment you create a new database, a phpPgAdmin button will appear beside it, so with just a click you will be able to sign in to the tool and check out the content of that specific database. You will not need to enter any username or password provided that you go through your website hosting account, but if you would like to sign in manually or to grant access to a database to another person, you will also have the option to do this. In this way, in case you control the account and the company IT person controls the site content, for example, he'll be able to work on the website without accessing any e-mails or some other confidential info.
